got a new set of fins for my birthday after being without any for a year or so...pulled out the dale solomonson air mats i used to take on all my trips in my carry-on bag in case my boards got lost..seemingly simple, but hard as hell to ride correctly, i'm going to get back into 'em after a 6 year layoff. should be a fun spring/summer... the surfer's journal writer c. r. stecyk called mat riding the "fly fishing of surfing"
